Path Through History Day was filled with flowers in Guilderland
To the Editor:
Thanks to all the Guilderland Garden Club members, town employees, Sarah Jenkins and CJ Gallup and Guilderland Historical Society Members who helped make New York State Path Through History Day in Guilderland such a success on Saturday.
It was difficult having both the Mynderse/Frederick House and Schoolcraft House open to the public, but both gardens look beautiful, plus we had great weather to show them off!
Thanks to everyone who helped with not only the many hours making the gardens look great, but helping to advertise the event; clean the houses; and provide cookies, drinks, and flower arrangements. Thanks also to those who were tour guides at Schoolcraft and the Mynderse/Frederick houses.
The list goes on: Thanks to John Haluska for bringing his historic brick collection and providing information to our visitors. Thanks to Cat Tales Rescue for being at Schoolcraft to explain how we can help our animal friends. Thanks to Barb Norton for donating the beautiful urns that we filled with plants in front of Schoolcraft.
Thanks to Nancy Perry for purchasing the obelisk at Schoolcraft Circle. A special thank-you to our Club Garden Chairwoman Chris Burdick, who worked so hard with her crew, and all the town workers for all they did at both locations.
If you haven't seen the gardens at our historic sites, stop by to take a look. They are open to the public. Guilderland is looking beautiful!
