On Saturday at Crossgates Mall, sponsored by the mall and the Colonie-Guilderland Rotary Club, was to raise awareness about the opioid epidemic and to raise funds for Second Chance Opportunities so a challenged theme event was held to raise money for a Community Recovery Center in Albany.

No one is alone: Tables line the corridor outside Lucky Strike Social on Saturday morning laden with pamphlets on stopping the opioid epidemic. Funds raised at the event will be used to open a Community Recovery Center in Albany, Second Chance Opportunities Inc., described as “a safe, centralized center where people in recovery, their families and loved ones can go to get support necessary to lead healthy lives in recovery and cope with the challenges of addiction.”
