GUILDERLAND — Police arrested an Albany man for attempting to break into a Guilderland house while the resident was home in September.

David Andino, 49, of 236 Morris St., apartment 2, in Albany, threw a large rock through a window of the Landbridge Drive home with the intention of committing larceny, and caused damage within the house, according to the complaint.

Andino was charged with second-degree attempted burglary, a felony, for the attempted break-in at 10:50 a.m. on Sept. 24 in the Twenty West development, his arrest report says; he was arraigned in Guilderland Town Court and remanded to Albany County’s jail without bail.

Judge Denise Randall said, through the court’s clerk, Jennifer Stephens, that his remand without bail was “authorized by statute.”

His case was waived to the grand jury, Stephens said.

Curtis Cox, spokesman and deputy chief of the Guilderland Police, said that no information was available at this time about how a months-long investigation led to Andino, since the case remains open and pending.

A press release issued by the Guilderland Police said that Andino is “one of the suspects” in the attempted burglary.
