The taxable inhabitants of the Guilderland, Mohonasen, Schalmont, and South Colonie School District, TAKE NOTICE: I, the undersigned Receiver of Taxes of the Town of Guilderland, County of Albany and State of New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Guilderland for the 2018-2019 school fiscal year, and have fixed the following dates for receiving taxes:

Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (except holidays); Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during September; at the GUILDERLAND TOWN HALL, 5209 Western Tpk., as of September 1, 2018

For the following school districts: Guilderland also Schalmont, Mohonasen, South Colonie within the Town of Guilderland; No interest fee through October 1, a 2% interest fee from October 2 through October 31, 2018. No collection of taxes will be accepted after October 31, 2018. Postmarks of October 31, 2018 will be accepted. The tax roll and all unpaid taxes will be turned over to Albany County on November 1, 2018 thereafter the additional fee will be 5% plus interest.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Knox Fire District in the Town of Knox, Albany County, NY have changed the date of their September Meeting from 7 PM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 to 7 PM on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13.

This change has been made due to the annual 9/11 Memorial Service being held at 7 PM on Tuesday, September 11th at the Knox Fire Station.

The Town of Westerlo Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 starting at 7 PM at Westerlo Town Hall 933 County Route 401, Westerlo, NY regarding proposed Local Law  No. 3- 2018 – to regulate peddlers, solicitors and transient merchants while transacting business in the Town of Westerlo.  A Special Town Board meeting for the purpose of adoption of the proposed law will follow the Public Hearing it will then be followed by a Town Board Workshop meeting.  A copy of the proposed law is available at either the Town Clerk’s office or the official website: townofwesterlony.com
