Few stood up against bullying

To the Editor:

Recent events regarding the resignation of Attorney General Eric Schneiderman cause my mind to flip back its pages to another case with much more local ties.

Father Peter Young’s Addiction Recovery Center in Altamont went down in flames from charges leveled by Schneiderman’s office concerning financial irregularities. The female chief executive officer of that organization was sentenced to actual jail time, even though not one thin dime of money in question ever entered her or Father Young’s pocket. Nada.

To me, two things stand out. One is the issue of bullying. Extreme bullying The other is that few, if any, were willing to stand up against it.
