Anthony James Bader

WESTERLO — Anthony James Bader, a Navy veteran and a lifelong resident of Westerlo, died on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. He was 60.

He was born in Albany on Jan. 2, 1948, son of the late James A. and Evelyn Bader. After graduating from high school, he served for six years in the United States Navy on the USS Guam as an electronics technician.

After an honorable discharge, Mr. Bader, known to his friends and family as Jim, worked as an electrician for 33 years for Conrail and CSX.

He is survived by his three children, Antoinette, Nicholas, and David, and by his three siblings, Ralph Bader and his wife, Ruth, Jane Snyder and her husband, Mitchel, and Virginia Bader.

His family thanks Kenwood Manor and the Troy Rehabilitation and Nursing Center “for their kindness, patience, and care during Jim’s stay at their facilities,” his family wrote.

A private ceremony will be held at the Saratoga National Cemetery.
