Westerlo man charged with menacing with knife

GREENVILLE — Catskill police arrested Brian S. Andersen of Westerlo after he threatened a woman with a knife during an argument on Feb. 7, according to State Police.

Police responded to the home after the altercation at Freehold Mills Road in Greenville and the woman fled from the scene and requested assistance, according to a release from the State Police.

Andersen, 38, was arrested for second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor, and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony. He was arraigned in Greenville Town Court before Judge Richard Schrieber and remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail.

State police were assisted by the Greene County District Attorney’s Office in the investigation.
