Free kits test well water
ALBANY COUNTY — Have you ever wanted to know if the water you drink is safe?
The Albany County Soil and Water Conservation District is offering free home water test kits to Albany County residents who have a private well. These home water analysis kits test for alkalinity, bacteria, chlorine, copper, hardness, iron, lead, nitrates, pesticides, and pH.
Everyone should be aware of what’s in their water. There is a limit of one water test kit per household.
Stop by the Soil and Water Conservation District office located at 24 Martin Road in Voorheesville, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., to receive your free kit.
