Barbara Hall Scherer

ALBANY — Barbara Hall Scherer, a nurse and disabilities analyst, died on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016. She was 66.

The daughter of Walter and Patricia Hall, she had four brothers and three sisters. She was married to George Scherer for 33 years, their union ending only with his death in 2006.

She worked as a registered nurse for many years and as a disabilities analyst for New York State.

She is survived by her three children, Stephen, Phillip, and Elizabeth; by her in-laws, Amanda and Joseph; by her four grandchildren, Theodore, Ella, June, and Hanna; and by her sister-in-law, Arleen.

Her wake will take place on Sunday, Oct. 9, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Fredendall Funeral Home at 199 Main St. in Altamont. The funeral will be on Monday, Oct. 10, at 9:30 a.m. at the Parish of Mater Christi at 40 Hopewell St. in Albany.
