John J. “Jack” Helm

ALBANY — John J. “Jack” Helm — who loved working on cars and motorcycles, and helping his friends and family — died unexpectedly at Albany Medical Center Hospital on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014.  He was 55.

Mr. Helm, who lived in Albany, had worked for many years as an auto body technician.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Betsy Tanenhaus; by his children, Jennifer and Tucker Helm; and by his many siblings, family members, and friends.

His parents, Walter and Anne Helm, died before him.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Hans Funeral Home in Albany. Mourners may leave messages of condolence for the family online at www.HansFuneralHome.com.
