Helen Pelepzuck

GALLUPVILLE — Helen Pelepzuck devoted herself to raising her family at home and worked as a recess aide at Schoharie Central School District.

Mrs. Pelepzuck died on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014 at the Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown following a heart attack. She was 82.

She was born on Dec. 16, 1931 in New York City, to Edward and Marie (née Ziegele) Gustavson.

She attended the Delanson School and later graduated from the Berne-Knox High School in 1951. 

From 1952 to 1957 she worked at the General Electric Company in Schenectady as a clerk.

She was married to John Pelepzuck on Oct. 3, 1953.  He died before her on June 5, 2006.

Helen Pelepzuck is survived by her children, David Pelepzuck and his wife, Debra, of the Town of Wright, Marie Dibble and her husband, Bill, of Berne, and Irene Loucks and her late husband, Mark, of the Town of Wright; six grandchildren, Nichole Cross and her husband, Keith, Travis Pelepzuck and his wife, Kristin, Kathryn Crumb, Kristoffer Crumb, Danielle Loucks, and Deanna Loucks; one great-grandson, Jacob Cross; and several nieces and nephews. 

Her siblings, Alice Wood, Ruth Alexson, Beatrice Russell, and John Gustavson, died before her, as did her husband, John Pelepzuck, and her son-in-law, Mark Loucks.

Arrangements were by Langan Funeral Home in Schoharie. Interment was in the Gallupville Rural Cemetery.
