Michael Hayes

SCHENECTADY — Michael Hayes, of lower Broadway in Schenectady, died on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015. He was 57.

Mr. Hayes was born in Albany and attended the Berne-Knox-Westerlo schools. He moved to Schenectady, where he lived most of his adult life.

He is survived by his daughter, Tonia Peterson-Brownell, of Ganesvoort; his mother, Anna Hayes, of Delmar; and his sisters, Christine (née Hayes) Sisson, of East Berne, and Cynthia (née Hayes) Diamond, of Knox.

His father, Harry Hayes, died before him, as did his brother, Clifford Hayes.

A burial service was held on Feb. 11 at the Vale Cemetery on Brandywine Avenue in Schenectady. Arrangements were by the Kazyaka Funeral Home in Schenectady.
