These local students were named to the dean’s list from Tufts University for the fall 2021 semester with a grade point average of 3.4 or higher:

These local students were named to the dean’s list or received a similar honor from their college or university for the fall 2021 semester:

— Matthew Payne of East Berne, majoring in creative media at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher;

The annual statewide ban prohibiting residential brush burning will begin March 16 and run through May 14.

Since 2009, the state’s Department of Environmental Conservation has enforced the ban to prevent wildfires and protect communities during heightened conditions for wildfires each spring.
