SHELTON, Conn. — Jean Rowlands O’Neill Hunter, who spent myriad summers at Warners Lake in East Berne and was by many measures a “very impressive woman,” according to her daughter, Deborah O’Neill, died on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020. She was 92.
Anyone who joins the Arbor Day Foundation in February will receive 10 free Norway spruce trees or 10 free redbud trees to plant when the weather turns warm.
These local students were named to the dean’s list at Hamilton College in Clinton for the fall 2019 semester with a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher:
— Omar Beesley of Delmar, majoring in mathematics and physics;
David Hoffman has been appointed the associate dean for academic initiatives at Maria College in Albany. Hoffman, who holds a doctorate in bioethics with a concentration in health ethics and policy from Albany Medical College, will also continue in his role as associate professor for ethics and health policy at Maria.
