Barbara Kennedy, a Democrat who’s running for highway superintendent in Berne, has been accused of animal abuse on social media, but those claims, which stem from a series of photos anonymously posted online, appear to be unfounded.

Photos posted on Facebook last week of documents that show charges brought against Berne Democratic candidate for town clerk Jean Guarino in 1995 leave the public to draw their own conclusions from limited information. 

The Rensselaerville Library will receive $9,734 from the New York State Department of Education and the New York State Library, to be spent on air-conditioning.

The Helderberg Lake Community Association’s current petition to the town requests that the town front the cost of dam repairs — up to $500,000 — which would then be paid back by lake residents and those with lake access through the creation of a special tax district.

Seniors aged 60 and older are welcome to enjoy a nutritious lunch offered by the Helderberg Senior Services lunch program.

SCHOHARIE — The Schoharie Antiques Show is back for its 45th edition.

Presented by the Schoharie Colonial Heritage Association, the show will be held, as always, at 143 Depot Lane Center, off of Route 30 in the village of Schoharie, two miles south of Interstate 88’s exit 23.

WESTERLO — Two men who knew each other were arrested in Westerlo on Sept. 3 following a confrontation that involved gunfire and property damage, according to a press release from the Albany County Sheriff’s Office. 

Republican candidate for Knox Supervisor, Kregg Grippo, has a history of professional and personal financial mismanagement, as revealed through a series of court records and municipal documents. After The Enterprise attempted several times to contact Grippo for more information, he filed a harassment complaint against the Hilltown reporter responsible for the story.
