GUILDERLAND — Developer Christopher Meyer has been appearing before the town board and the planning board for nearly 10 years seeking a zoning change for his subdivision along the Black Creek.

GUILDERLAND — Raymond H. Keys, a fireman and devoted husband, died peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home. He was 88.

Mr. Keys was born in Hebron, the son of the late George and Emma Weaver Keys.

ALTAMONT — Lisa Seypura has knit a pair of mittens that, when the wearer puts her hands side by side, a ewe is formed, with the head on one mitten and the tail on the other.

The ribbed cuffs of the mittens are green grass on which the sheep can stand and graze.

GUILDERLAND — Vendor and crafters are wanted for the second annual fair to be held by the Westmere Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the firehouse at 1741 Western Avenue.
