GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland High School Class of 1973 will hold its 45th reunion on Nov. 24 at the German American Club at 32 Cherry St. in McKownville.

The cost is $30 per person, and money is to be mailed to Paula Carpenter, 508 Elliott St., Scotia NY 12302.

Librarians from halfway around the world have come to the Capital Region to learn from their American counterparts.

Voters in Guilderland, New Scotland, Coeymans, and the Hilltowns will have the chance to vote for either incumbent George Amedore or challenger Pat Strong for Senate in November.

A group from Altamont has, for years, been making quilts that have helped raise money, spirits, and awareness.

The Boy Scouts of America held an annual Twin Rivers Council Fall Camporee at the Altamont Fairgrounds last weekend that were filled with games.

The girls on the Guilderland-Voorheesville swim team, who call themselves the Geese, took to the water on Tuesday afternoon at home, in Voorheesville, for Senior Night, against Troy. The Geese dominated, winning 90 to 76.

The Guilderland girls’ soccer team and boys’ volleyball team came up short in recent Suburban Council matchups. The Dutch soccer team battled with Bethlehem, ranked fifth in the state, last Thursday at home, falling, 2 to 0.

GUILDERLAND — Rhondasia Jackson, 17, stabbed two 15-year-old girls with a knife, police say, after they struggled to get back belongings she had taken from one of them.

The struggle ensued on Saturday, Sept. 29, at about 4:15 p.m. at Crossgates Mall, according to a release from the Guilderland Police.
