GUILDERLAND — Linda Louise Carberry, a professional caregiver who was devoted to her daughter and granddaughter, died peacefully at home in her sleep on Monday, Aug. 5, 2019.

“Linda was an exceptionally kind person, with a wonderful, off-beat sense of humor,” said her oldest sister, Kathy Dillon. “She was quick-witted.”

Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays will include $1 mimosas with a choice of three toppings from among shrimp, steak, bacon, stuffed olives, hard-boiled eggs, avocado, and pineapple.

GUILDERLAND — After a car chase followed by a chase on foot, New York State Troopers arrested three young men in the early-morning hours of Sunday, July 28.

On Saturday, the 10th annual Pet Connection Adoption day sponsored by WTEN's Pet Connection and the Animal Hospital.

We encourage our local school districts, all of them, to make black history an integral part of social studies curricula as well as lessons taught in other subjects.

The Guilderland school district has just begun to work with a black consultant about how to increase its racial and cultural diversity and inclusion. Some African-American parents think it has a long way to go.
