Carollers: Members of the Guilderland Teachers Association visited Our Lady of Mercy Life Center on Dec. 10 to sing Christmas songs, and some of the teachers brought their own children with them. “We are working to expand our community service events.” said Emily Mineau, vice president of the teacher’s union, noting that the GTA set up its first neighborhood lending library this fall.

Making spirits bright: Colleen Simmons of Altamont was singing along so well and so enthusiastically that the Guilderland Teachers’ Association carollers asked her to come up near them and sing. They gave her a copy of the lyrics sheet and here she joins them in “Jingle Bells.”
