Photos: Guilderville Makes A Splash At Sectionals

Last weekend, Nov. 7-9, the Guilderland-Voorheesville girls’ swim team competed in the Section 2 Swimming championships at Shenendehowa High School to make an attempt to qualify for the state competition. Guilderville finished eighth overall with 122 points.

Cruising along: Guilderville’s Kelly Keaney turns her head to take a breath in the preliminary 200-meter freestyle. Keaney finished sixth on Friday and then on Saturday finished sixth overall with a time of 2:00.52.

Going fast: Guilderville’s Emily Zhan turns her head to get a breath as she flies down the line during the 100-meter freestyle. Zhan finished 8th on Friday and 7th overall on Saturday with a time of 57.37 seconds.
