Photos: Voorheesville Girls Class C Champs While Others Run Well

On Friday, Nov. 5, Berne-Knox-Westerlo/Middleburgh, Guilderland and Voorheesville cross-country teams competed in the Section 2 cross-country championships at Saratoga State Park. Voorheesville girls won Class C with 29 points while the boys finished fourth with 146. BKW-Middleburgh girls had no score and the boys finished ninth with 216. Guilderland girls finished eighth with 234 and boys fifth with 139.

Running away: Voorheesville’s Mariem Sayahi runs alone when approaching the finish line in the Class C girls race where Sayahi won by 24 seconds. Sayahi had a time of 18:31.98 and led the team to a Section 2 title and will compete this Saturday at Chenango Valley State Park.
