Photos: Dutch Defeated At Last

The historic runs for the Guilderland football team, going for the school’s first sectional championship, and the field-hockey team, looking for its first-ever regional championship, fell short this past week. The football team battled Shenendehowa on Friday night at Troy High School for the Class AA Super Bowl but lost, 35 to 7. The field-hockey team traveled to Vestal High School in the Southern Tier on Sunday afternoon for the Class A regional championship and lost, 6 to 0, to the defending state champion, Maine-Endwell, a team which has six players committed to a play for Division 1 colleges next fall.
