Photos: Blackbirds thrilling Class C championship ends with a title

On Saturday evening at Saratoga High School, the Voorheesville girls' Volleyball team battled with Lake George for the Class C championship which saw the Blackbirds win the title after being down two sets to none to win in five sets.

Jump for joy: After the last Lake George shot was called “out,” meaning the Blackbirds won the sectional title, Voorheesville’s Marie Julian (11) and Sophie Whiteman (14) leap while teammate Emily Bablin squats and screams for joy, concluding a thrilling five-set match; 23-25, 23-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-23 in the class C sectional final at Saratoga High School.
