Photos: Dutch Fight to the End

One bad bounce or a different play could have led Guilderland’s field hockey and football teams to the next round in their Class AA sectional games. The field hockey team played well against Shenendehowa last Thursday in a tight game that needed extra time to be resolved. In the end, the Dutch fell in overtime play, 2 to 1. The football players knew they faced a big test: the undefeated Shaker Blue Bison. It was the fourth straight year for the Dutch to lose to the Bison in sectionals. Shaker won 27 to 15.
