Photos: Birds Win First Round Match, Fall In Quarters

On Thursday, Oct. 21, the Voorheesville girls soccer team took to the pitch to play Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk to play in the first-round of the Section 2, Class B sectionals. The Birds won 1-to-0 last Thursday then took on 2nd seed Mechanicville on Saturday and fell 3-to-2 on penalty kicks after two overtimes being tied at 1. Haley Gleasman scored in Thursday’s game and Emma Farrell scored in Saturday’s game.
