Photos: Nine Golfers Battle The Cold And Course For States

Last Wednesday and Friday, Oct. 16 and 18, six Guilderland, two Berne-Knox-Westerlo, and one Voorheesville girls competed in the Section 2 championships at Hiland Park Country Club in Queensbury for a spot on the state team.

Coming at you: Guilderland’s Lizzie Lamme follows through from her shot as she watches it fly towards the green. Lamme shot a 113 (+41) and was tied for 40th.

Hitting her shot: Guilderland’s Jane Fanning watches her ball fly towards the green after she completes her swing. Fanning shot a 90 in the final round on Friday for a combined score of 175 (+31) to finish 10th overall and is an alternate on the state team.
