Photos: Geese Fly to Victory
Girls on the Guilderland-Voorheesville swim team, who call themselves the Geese, traveled to Shaker to take on the Blue Bison last Friday afternoon. Shaker doesn’t have a diving board but the girls were still up to the task to beat the Blue Bison, 86 to 79.

Sleepy? Guilderville's Brooke Sommo swims in the 500-yard freestyle as her head appears to rest on a pillow of water. Sommo won with a time of 5:41.85 and also won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.23.

Smooth sailing: Guilderville's Kasey Keaney, as a column of water streaks from her arm, won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 58.08 and took the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:12.06.

Hydroplaning: Guilderville's Margot Tanner flies across the water in the 100-yard butterfly event. Tanner finished fourth with a time of 1:13.79.

Bobbing up: Guilderville's Rachel Lai comes up for air as she does the breaststroke in the 200-yard Individual Medley. Lai finished second with a time of 2:26.03.

Dive back: Guilderville's Kelly Keaney starts the 100-yard backstroke event. Keaney finished second with a time of 1:11.73.
