The Voorheesville Blackbirds, defending Section 2 champions, are having a slow start to the 2018 season since several key players graduated in June and two current players have suffered injuries. The team, with six returning players, evened its record, 2-2, after traveling to Cohoes last Thursday to beat the Tigers in three straight sets: 25-10, 25-17, 25-15.
