Photos: Blackbirds Clipped In Overtime To The Cannoneers
Last Friday, Sept. 10, the Voorheesville Blackbirds opened up their season against Watervliet. The Birds showed the Cannoneers that there’s no quit in this team to tie the game up with under a minute left, but the Cannoneers took control in overtime to win, 28 to 22.

Going for it all: Voorheesville’s Ryan Conley looks for the deep ball towards the end zone in the first quarter. Conley threw for 48 yards on five completions on 11 attempts with one touchdown and an interception. He also ran for 57 yards on 17 carries and a touchdown in the Blackbirds’ 28-to-22 loss in overtime.
