Hoods up: A car show with five entry classes and 35 judged awards was a central attraction at Saturday’s Clarksville Heritage Day. The annual event supports both the Clarksville Historical Society and the Clarksville Community Church.

Reptile Adventure, with creatures like this, was part of the fun at this year’s Clarksville Heritage Day, held on Aug. 12. The Albany-based business brings live animals to classrooms, libraries, and festivals. Kids on Saturday enjoyed patting the tortoises.

Sweet stuff: A family stops by Richard Ronconi’s booth at Clarksville Heritage Day on Saturday to sample tubes of honey. Ronconi, at right, who owns and operates the Partridge Run Farm And Apiary in Berne, is a font of knowledge on beekeeping and honey-making.
