Ev Rau, right, received a standing ovation as well as this citation from Altamont’s mayor, James Gaughan, after holding an audience in rapt attention for an hour of conversation with Laura Shore on June 23 in “An Interview with Ev Rau.” This was the first of several sessions to both film and document the history of his Pleasant View Farm, on Lainhart Road — land that has been farmed since 1799.
