Photos: Flying Dutchmen Sail to Qualifiers

The Guilderland Dutchmen indoor track team competed in the Section 2, Division 1 championships on Sunday at the University at Albany. The girls finished in third place with 79 points and had two sectional champions: Isabella Bruno and Hannah Durant. The boys finished eighth with 13 points. Most of the winners will continue on to the state qualifiers on Sunday morning, striving to earn a trip on March 3 to the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Athletic Complex on Staten Island for the state competition

Flipping to victory: Guilderland's Isabella Bruno clears 5 feet, 3 inches to win the high jump. She also won the triple jump — at 36 feet, 10.50 inches — and the long jump — at 17 feet, 4 inches.

Up, up, and away: Guilderland’s Matlyn Gross leaps from the foul line in the triple jump as an official checks to make sure she doesn’t foul. Gross lept to a second-place finish at 35 feet, 7.25 inches behind teammate Isabella Bruno.
