Water techniques: Last weekend, roughly 20 people took part in a state-wide training exercise at Lawson Lake in Feura Bush with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to provide the lifesaving skills to help pets in flood emergencies. Here, one of the trainees reaches for a stuffed animal, acting as a pet, and grabs the back of the neck to kneed the animal to save it from the water and place it inside a crate.
