Noontime ride: Just before the picnic, cyclists pedal down the verdant Gifford Hollow Road outside the hamlet of Rensselaerville for a Sunday ride. The group gathered at a sign announcing the ride and directing anyone interested, “Meet Here.” Jennifer Vanderveer led the group. She and her husband, cyclist Tyler Wren, are hosting the rides this summer to introduce budding bikers to the sport ahead of the Rensselaerville Cycling Festival on Sept. 28, hosted by the Carey Institute for Global Good.
