Legs out: Guilderland’s Miranda Putorti competes Sunday in her team’s first event, Hatsgiving, a charity that donates winter hats to children who have lost their hair while battling cancer. The event was held at World Class Gymnastics in Latham. This year, due to COVID restrictions, Section 2 gymnasts will compete in two “bubbles” to keep the athletes safe. Putorti scored an 8.425 in this event and a 31.425 in all-around. The Dutch finished second with 153.85 while Saratoga won and Shaker finished third; Bethlehem wasn’t able to participate on Sunday.
