Flower power: Trudy Warner, left, and Ruth Dickinson place zinnias — as bright as a sunrise — into bagged lunches at the Altamont fairgrounds on Wednesday. The annual luncheon to honor Community Caregivers’ volunteers was postponed because of the pandemic but reborn as a drive-through picnic. “It’s our way of saying, ‘thank you’ for all they’ve done — especially during these difficult and trying times,” said the Caregivers’ director, Lee Lounsbury, of the volunteers who help especially the elderly to remain in their homes.
