School Road

The Enterprise — Michael Koff
Just in time for school, the bridge on School Road, between Route 146 and Guilderland High School, opened on Aug. 30, and the portable outhouse is hauled away. Deteriorated concrete deck and prestressed concrete beams were replaced with new steel beams and a new concrete deck. The work started July 1. Albany County spokeswoman Mary Rozak estimated the cost of work on both the School Road bridge and on a bridge being repaired on Route 353 in Rensselaerville at a combined $948,000 and said that the two-bridge project is “funded 100 percent with county funds.”
