Thirteen rows of arrays: Helderberg Community Energy helped recruit local residents for one of the first, if not the first, community shared solar farms in the region. Monolith Solar first signed up customers for a 2-megawatt solar farm that was to open in September. The current farm, on route 7 in Johnsonville, is a tenth of the size, at 200 kilowatts; the smaller farm was easier to get approved.
