The Enterprise — Michael Koff

Shy bibliophile: Natalie Lendrum, 4, regards the shirt she has earned by listening to her mother, Jackie, read 1,000 books to her as a pre-kindergartner. The founders of Berne-Knox-Westerlo’s 1,000 Books program, Judy Tambasco and Roz Moser, were honored Wednesday as Albany County’s Citizens of the Month. The shirts were donated by the family of the late Eileen Hitter, BKW’s devoted school librarian.
