One family story sure to be highlighted is that of Garrett Niver who lost his life at the Battle of Little Big Horn. Historian Michael Gabriel will deliver a presentation entitled “Trophies and Loot: After the Battle of Bennington” on June 16, 11:00 AM at Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site on NY-67. He will explore the idea of plunder during the Revolutionary War and discuss examples from the Battle of Bennington.
