​Chicken n Biscuit Dinner. The Boyd Hilton VFW 7062 Auxiliary will host their Annual Chicken n Biscuit on Norv. 4, at the VFW located on 11 Mill Street, Altamont. We will be serving from 4 - 7 p.m. The dinner will include Chicken n Biscuits, gravy, veggies, cranberry sauce, Mashed potatoes, Coffee Tea, and a variety of Pies for dessert. The donation for the dinner is $11.00 per person, tickets are available at the VFW any day from 2 p.m. till at least 7 p.m. Eat in or dine out available.

Craft and Vendor Fair Saturday, Nov. 4, 9 a m. to 3 p.m.at Onesquethaw Reformed Church, 11 Groesbeck Road (off of Tarrytown Road), Feura Bush, NY 12067.  A variety of crafters and vendors including Thirty-One, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Lularoe and others will be displaying their wares.  There will also be a bake sale and soup & chili will be available for lunch.  Benefit of Camp Fowler Scholarship Fund.

B’nai Sholom Reform Congregation in Albany presents a screening of “Lemon Tree,” a 2008 Israeli allegory about the lengths that a Palestinian widow must go through to stop the Israeli defense minister, her neighbor, from destroying the lemon grove that her family has cultivated for generations. “Lemon Tree” will be shown Saturday, Nov. 4, 7:30 p.m. at B’nai Sholom, 420 Whitehall Road, Albany, New York. Refreshments will be available. Suggested contribution: $5.

Lasagna Dinner and Cakewalk on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Berne Community and Senior Center (1360 Helderberg Trail) at 5:30 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are $10 if pre-purchased at the Berne Library. Tickets at the door are $12, $5 for children 12 and under, with a family maximum of $50. A fun feature of the dinner is the cakewalk.
