Capital District Farmers Market Association will be holding two ongoing farmers markets on Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday markets will be at the First United Methodist Church at 428 Kenwood Ave in Delmar from 2:30 pm until 6 pm. Thursday Markets will be at the Suny Plaza at 353 Broadway in Albany from 11 am to 2 pm.  Both markets will have fresh produce and goods, as well as food vendors.

Science Lecture Series: Science in the Albany Pine Bush Preserve on Thursday, May 17, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. The Albany Pine Bush Preserve contains 76 wildlife Species of Greatest Conservation Need, several rare wetlands, and the best remaining global example of an inland pitch pine-scrub oak barrens; a globally rare, fire-dependent ecological community.

The Voorheesville American Legion is having Mother’s Day breakfast on Sunday, May 13, from 8 am to Noon. The menu includes Eggs cooked to order, French Toast with fruit, Home Fries, Bacon, Sausage, Toast, Juice & Coffee. All Moms receive a flower and an entry into a FREE raffle.
