Kiwanis Halloween Party: The New Scotland Kiwanis Club and Voorheesville Key Club invite children from preschool age to 5th grade for a Halloween Costume Party featuring games, prizes, tricks, treats, and more! Batty for Bats at Thacher Visitor Center. Join us for a bat themed story and learn the truth about these cute Chiropterans. Lawson Lake Fall Festival.  This year’s festival will include guided hikes, rock climbing wall, fishing, pumpkin and face painting, giant Jenga, crafts, Albany County Sheriff K9 demonstrations and the 5K and 5M Trail Run hosted by the Albany Running Exchange. The race will kick off 10am with registration and bib pickup at 9am. However, Runners are encouraged to register for $15 in advance.
