Delmar Farmers Market to kick off 9th Season. With expanded offerings of great food, produce, crafts and community activities, the Delmar Farmers Market will officially open for the 2017 season. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bethlehem Middle School.

Medusa Fest. The Annual Medusa Fest will be held in the village of Medusa. All events are located on CR 351. It is held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. At the firehouse there will be a flea market, woodsmen competition, DJ Music, $5 pony rides, a petting zoo, a bounce house, food including a chicken BBQ, and more. Grand opening and dedication of the new visitors center at Thacher Park starting at 11 a.m. Knox Historical Society will be presenting a painting of Thacher Park.

Albany County Celebrates Earth Day at Lawson Lake County Park. 11 a.m. -3 p.m. for a variety of events. Lawson Lake County Park is located at 293 Lawson Lake Rd, Feura Bush on the border of the Towns of New Scotland and Coeymans.

Got Junk? Well….. get rid of it on Saturday April 29, 2017 at Princetown Town Hall from 8 p.m. to Noon. PEAC (Princetown Environmental Advisory Committee) will conduct its annual Recycle Day. Get rid of unwanted metal junk items such as water heaters, wheels, lawn mowers, and appliances etc. Sorry, we cannot accept items containing Freon such as AC units, freezers, or dehumidifiers, as these items must have Freon removed by a professional. Tires and wheels will be accepted. A fee will be charged based on size of the tire.

Guilderland Central School District is pleased to once again host the bi-annual Recycling Extravaganza at Farnsworth Middle School, located at 6072 State Farm Rd, Guilderland, NY. This community-wide event will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is open to both residents and non-residents of the school district. No certificate of residency is required and all items are dropped off at no charge to attendees.

Green and Clean in Altamont. Altamont Community Tradition (ACT) will be hosting its annual spring "Green and Clean.” Volunteers are needed to help beautify Altamont's many parks. Gather at 9 a.m. at the gazebo in Orisini Park. Please bring gloves, shovels and rakes if you have them.
