'Nature’s Engineers’ at Thacher Nature Center on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 3:30 p.m. Beavers are famously busy animals with the unique ability to create their own habitats! Come learn more about the many adaptations that allow beavers to redesign entire ecosystems and survive the winter! After an indoor presentation, we will visit a nearby beaver lodge in hopes of catching a beaver or two in action! This program is appropriate for adults and children 7 years and older. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Albany and Ulster Counties are pleased to announce the 1st Annual Fall Roundup Grazier Meeting, presented by CCE Educators, Jason Detzel and Aaron Gabriel. This meeting will address how to reduce production costs by extending the grazing season for livestock into the winter. Fall Roundup will be held Thursday, November 1 from 1 - 4 pm at Diamond Hills Farm, 80 Angus Lane, Hudson, NY.  Pre-registration is required and a fee of $10.00 per person is requested by October 30, 2018.
