Local drives are more critical for the blood supply since the pandemic closed schools and offices where large blood drives were routinely held. Also, blood donations are being tested for COVID antibodies for use in plasma treatments for COVID patients. Call Kirby at 861-7166 for appointments. The Red Cross staff follow the highest standards of safety and infection control. Additional precautions will include: Checking temperatures; providing hand sanitizer before and during the process; social distancing; disinfecting surfaces and equipment; and limiting the number in the Hall.
