Hilltowns

With the chill in the air and the leaves turning, our Hilltown Seniors once again met for their monthly meeting at the Hilltown Senior/Access Center.

What a delight to have our tables graced with pumpkins as centerpieces. They were graciously given to us by Brian Whipple and decorated by the children from the  Berne-Knox-Westerlo Connection Program and a couple of our own seniors – we are blessed!

We had Ray Shafer from the Oasis Senior Advisors of Albany come and speak on how he could assist with needs by seniors in their homes. We always welcome speakers who can help with any of our needs so please contact any member and we will put you on our agenda.

Also we would like to thank Helderberg Ambulance for doing our blood-pressure readings. And many thanks to the Kitchen Committee for a delicious meal.

Next month, we will be dining out for our Thanksgiving meal at Maple on the Lake. If you are a member, did you make your reservation?

Once again, we have a hat and mitten tree where members make or buy items and they are donated to people in need.

Yes, Christmas is just around the corner; it doesn’t seem possible that we are thinking about that already. So I will be getting ready to do our exchange gift fun activity; you will receive instructions at the Thanksgiving Dinner or I will be reaching out to others not able to attend.

Last but not least, we attended a Lake George Dinner Theater and it was a hoot! If you get a chance to go — GO!  To all our members traveling south, see you next year — you will be missed!
