Hilltowns Senior News for Thursday, September 24, 2020
Seniors aged 60 and older are welcome to attend the Helderberg Senior Services lunch program at the Town of Berne Community and Senior Services Center, 1360 Helderberg Trail in Berne. Lunches are served Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
Dining reservations must be made the day before the scheduled meal during the hours of 9 a.m. and noon. To make your reservation, call Karen Stark at 518-937-5963.
Due to COVID-19 health restrictions, the number of guests is limited and no walk-ins will be accepted.
Meals are served at noon and a $3 donation is suggested. Diners will be told what time to arrive, as arrival times are staggered to aid in social distancing. At this time, there are no after-lunch activities.
Following health guidelines, social distancing will be practiced. Everyone must wear a facemask covering nose and mouth until seated. At the sign-in table, guests will be asked to hand sanitize and their temperature will be checked. Anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will not be permitted to stay in the building.
Beginning in October, menu choices will resume. Upcoming menus:
