Hilltowns

The Hilltown Seniors met for our September meeting and Memory Day with over 70 members gracing us with their presence.

We read our reports, talked about our August trip to Cape Cod, and look forward to our Lake George trip to the Outlets and Dinner Theater. We sang numerous birthday greetings (yes, we sang one more time to Linda McDermott; I think that was about 20 times we sang to her — teehee!). Anniversary greetings were sung to one very special couple.

Our next order of business was our Memory Day. We told some very special memories of our past president, friend, and family member Linda Carman.

I had a memory tree where memory cards were placed on it and then given to the family to take home. Also, we had a wishing well built, a plaque made, and a quilt-rack holder to hold a quilt made under her guidance by senior-citizen members.

We also had barbecued chicken by BBQ Delights and Stewart’s make-your-own sundae! Wow, what a special day it was! Thanks to all who made it possible!

Hope to see everyone next month at our meeting. for those who are leaving for Florida or other unknown places — you will be missed!
