The Helderberg Senior Services lunch program is back in business. Seniors aged 60 and older are welcome. Meals are offered Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays at the Town of Berne Community and Senior Services Center at 1360 Helderberg Trail in Berne.

Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m. Masks are required to enter the building. A $3 donation is suggested.

You must call Karen Stark at 518-937-5963 by 10 a.m. the day before you plan on attending. She needs 24-hour advance notice to ensure enough meals are provided for everyone.

Join us for a tasty, nutritious lunch. Menus provide choices each day:

— Friday, June 18: Beef and veggie stir fry or baked fish, carrots, applesauce, and applesauce cake, or BLT pasta salad and V-8 juice;

— Monday, June 21: Chicken cacciatore or baked fish, potatoes, broccoli and peaches;

— Tuesday, June 22: Roast pork with gravy or baked fish, mashed potatoes, green beans, wheat stuffing and applesauce; and

— Friday, June 25: Lemon-garlic baked fish or baked chicken, roasted potatoes, spinach and brownie, or tuna salad sandwich with cucumber and tomato sides.
